The problems with having an intense and prolonged battle inside a cave network involving lightsabers and Force based attacks are many.

Throw in it being sub zero temperatures, much ice, a liberal use of the environment as weapons and well.

Parts of Vader's suit normally lit are dark, there's a good deal of damage to his limbs (including a crushed knee), a cracked eye lens which is at least just cracked.

And he can hear Kestis coughing behind the rock he's taking cover behind while some little droid hopped about on it angrily, giving Vader a good telling off. A glance on the ice proves its bloodstained.
